How Secure is Your Fax Sending?

Traditional fax machines pose a number of security challenges when it comes to sending and receiving faxes. Popfax.com, a leading global provider of internet fax services, has introduced their solution with their online faxing feature called Registered Fax.

Internet faxing is more secure than traditional faxing due to online storage of faxes on secure servers. Registered Fax provides a legal document that guarantees both the fax delivery and its integrity.

This service is secure through the sending that is performed online through using a secured connection and an account provided by the Internet fax provider. The faxed document is signed digitally using non-reversible cryptography elements and then the signature is printed on the last page of the fax document.

The received will access the fax through a unique password and digital signature. The sender will receive an email notification and a transmission report notifying them of the confirmation of the fax delivery. The sender and receiver can check at any moment online the authenticity of the registered fax.
